Alan Turing
For the final project, I plan on answering the following questions on a power point as well as on a hard copy. For the most part I will be going over the personal life of Alan Turing and how his homosexuality did not affect his tremendous work saving many lives during WWII through decryption with the Enigma Machine as well as other decrypting methods.
1.2 : What did they accomplish in the field of science? --2
3.1 : How was this person’s world different from ours? Similar to ours? --2
1.5 : What later scientists were influenced by their work? --3
3.4 : What were some of the biggest issues that peopler worried about at that time? --3
6.1 : In the movie of this person’s life, what actor would play him/her? Why? What director would make the movie and what would be the key scene? Describe in as much detail as possible. --5
6.4 : What would this person love about our modern world? What would they hate? --4
20 Possible Points
Presentation
In the presentation I will explain in detail what makes the Enigma Machine works and will present some examples of how it works using a digital Enigma Machine using the following website:

Journal 1/22
1. Identify what is it you are solving for such as the velocity.
2. Take direction into consideration when solving.
3. Remember that when momentum is constant, the final momentum will always be the same as the initial momentum.
-
1. No questions.
-
1. The problem is not impossible, just remember what you are looking for and take directions into consideration and you'll be fine.
[late due to not bringing notes home and hyperlinks not working]

Homework 1/11
B) System and process where money is constant is the upper right box. The amount of money does not change, that is how I know it is the constant. The constant is a quantity that doesn't change over time.
C) System and process where money is conserved is the second process. Cash changes from Chris to the lunch vendor. Conserve means that a quantity changes from one to another however the quantity does not dissipate.

Homework 1/5
1. The relationship between the magnitude of the acceleration and the speed of an object's distance is that the further the distance, the distance between each point is larger and the acceleration moves towards the center.
2. The relationship between the magnitude of the acceleration and the radius is that the larger the radius, the smaller the acceleration.
3. A= v2/r
2 m/s2 = 4/r
Radius = 8 meters.
